Forms for British Columbia Corporations to Register or Update Extraprovincially in Alberta
Mail completed documentation to BC Registry Services at PO Box 9431 Stn Prov Govt, Victoria BC V8W 9V3 or fax to 250 356-8923.
- To register extraprovincially in Alberta:
- go to NWPTA Submissions Menu on Corporate Online.
- To change or update attorney and/or Head Office information:
- go to NWPTA Submissions Menu on Corporate Online.
- To register extraprovincially in Alberta when restoring a British Columbia company:
- To register a change of name after Notice of Alteration has been made on a British Columbia company:
- To change the jurisdiction of an Alberta extraprovincial registration when a corporation has continued into British Columbia:
- For resignation of an Alberta attorney for service, provide the following details in a letter addressed to BC Registry Services:
- extraprovincial company name;
- extraprovincial registration number
- full name of attorney resigning;
- mailing address of attorney (street, city, province, country and postal code);
- confirmation that 60 days notice has been given to the company;
- signature of attorney;
- date signed; and
- email address or telephone number (optional).
Note: the corporation must appoint a primary attorney as soon as possible. Failure to appoint a new primary attorney may result in the cancellation of the corporation’s extraprovincial registration in Alberta.
- To correct information previously submitted about the extraprovincial registration of the company in Alberta, provide the following details of the correction in a letter addressed to BC Registry Services:
- name of company (and any assumed name used in Alberta);
- registration number assigned in Alberta;
- details of the change (include any request to cancel the registration of the British Columbia company as an extraprovincial corporation in Alberta);
- name and signature of the authorized signing authority for the extraprovincial company; and
- date submitted.
- To cancel an assumed name on the Alberta extraprovincial registration:
- To add an English or French equivalent to an Alberta extraprovincial assumed name:

- extraprovincial company name;
- extraprovincial registration number
- full name of power of attorney resigning;
- mailing address of attorney (street, city, province, country and postal code);
- date power of attorney resignation sent to company;
- effective date of resignation;
- signature of attorney;
- date signed; and
- email address or telephone number (optional).
- To register extraprovincially in Saskatchewan when restoring a British Columbia company:
